Ok – so I didn’t get many predictions right but delighted with the majority of the decisions!

Stella McCartney on the red carpet… picked up Red Carpet Designer of the year!

The big one – Designer of the year, I was of course right – Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen; I didn’t expect Victoria Beckham to pick up Designer Brand of the year, I’m truly delighted for her – the transition from those rather vulgar jeans with the crown on the butt pocket to what has become a great classically cut yet with an identifiable signature collection is very commendable. But of course the commendation is for her brand and she has learnt only too well the art of PR over the past 10 years.

Another surprise for me but equally delighted was Louis Vuitton’s Kim Jones picking up Menswear designer of the year. Delighted for him (sorry Oliver…).

And of course the big one we’re really delighted with (as mentioned by Hilary Laing on the Scots Fashion Forum of Kiltr.com) is Christopher Kane picking up the “New Establishment” award which was introduced this year to recognise a particular movement in British fashion that is taking the industry by storm…
