There are of course many marketing and PR Agencies in Scotland that provide a phenomenal service and there are likely some individuals within those agencies that are passionate, knowledgeable and connected in the world of Fashion. My top 5 is a personal view in August 2014.
There are magazines, individual bloggers, specific journalists and networking organisers that can all help and likely other Agencies I may have missed. Feel free to add them in the comments.
1. Tessa Hartmann and Hartmann Media
Based on the outskirts of Glasgow Tessa and her team have the highest profile of all Fashion specific Agencies; 15 years in the business and the organisers behind the Scottish Fashion Awards (now held in London).
2. Mary McGowne and The Vine PR Company
Based in Glasgow The Vine PR Company are the creators of the Scottish Style Awards as well as heading up the PR for Rockness music Festival
3. Chris Hunt and his business Genuine PR
Based in Glasgow the business is owned and directed by consultant Chris Hunt; Head of PR for Campari Brands, Chris also heads up Scotland Re:Designed
After these three we start to lose ground – that is if you search Google for Marketing and PR Fashion Agencies, Scotland – obviously there’s Social Tailor, with 900 blog posts and counting we’re an easy find. I’m not writing this list to blow my own trumpet; there are however two new players on the block that have to be included.

4. Gordon J Millar of #scotstreetstyle (website pending)
Easily found if you’re on the coal face of local promotion for your fashion, lifestyle brand. That debonair and charming beardy can be spotted at just about every fashion show, exhibition and event in Scotland, working tirelessly for the betterment of others. Gordon is best known for his Creative Gatherings, number 5 of which will be held in Dundee (further info, courtesy of STV). Edinburgh based you can often hear his catch phrase: ONWARD!
5. Sheri Scott and Claire Stuart of Betty and Bee
Naturally I can’t write this post without mentioning the youngest most animated duo in Fashion PR Betty and Bee, otherwise known as Sheri and Claire; again Glasgow based but don’t hold that against them! Lighting up red carpets with their Orange and Blue hair, usually to be seen wearing Obscure Couture and Abandon Ship. Although the newest addition to the fashion promotion fraternity have great credibility.
