There are currently 9 stockists of Vans footwear in Edinburgh, but clearly there is room for more – they’re bringing a stand alone shop.
Where is this depressing downturn in fashion retail? Clearly if you’re good and have a passionate audience you’re doing just fine. You’ve maybe read that Burberry have just had yet another amazing year… the trend continues in the mid market too. But take a look at how Vans speak to their customers, how they have identified a way of getting into their head and providing them with lots of great content – not just that but crowd sourced content too. Vans ask their customers for their stories as well as delivering great and entertaining dialogue.
I announced only yesterday that The Kooples were coming to town and now Vans – long may it continue. George Street and Edinburgh City centre is upping their game; are you supporting them?
