I just wanted to say a few words of thanks for the film screening “The True Cost” at the Edinburgh International Fashion Festival.
Firstly, Andrew Morgan, the writer and director of the film for having the insight and determination to see the project through to completion. To Michael Ross, producer, for putting up with my stream of emails flying across to LA.
To Anna and Jonathan Freemantle for agreeing to screen the film during the Fashion Festival as an integral part of their line-up.
To Lee McCulley and the team at the National Museum of Scotland, whose coordination was brilliant.
To Lynn Wilson and her colleagues at Zero Waste Scotland for providing the main theme and sponsorship for this years festival.
To Jadine Arnold who as an intern became my right hand in reaching out to all of you that attended.
And lastly to everyone that came. I tried to say thank you at the door as you all left, with so many of you still wiping away the tears it was hard. I hope you carry the positive message with you when you next consider a clothing purchase.
And as Andrew has just said to me: “… have a great week!”
ps. if you didn’t make it, the film is now available to watch online: http://truecostmovie.com/ or via Netflix
