This year we are supporting the Edinburgh International Fashion Festival by hosting a screening of “The True Cost”.
The film that VOGUE UK said “If you make one fashion move this summer, consider making it a trip to see The True Cost!”
At the screening in London we saw some well known faces, see above, (as well as Stella McCartney, Annie Lennox, Bianca Jagger amongst many others).
The film takes us on a journey, showing the majority of fashion on our High Street, known as “fast fashion”.
The story is told from the designers, to the manufacturers, to the shop floor to the consumers that wait for those precious sale bins and “Black Friday”. Also highlighting one or two businesses that have chosen to take a more community approach to developing their fashion brand and what it has achieved for all involved.
This film is a deeply moving account of an industry I care very much about; I would love if you could join me at our screening here in Edinburgh at the National Museum of Scotland.
It is free to attend. Being held in the Auditorium at 1:00pm on Saturday 25th July 2015. To obtain a reservation please visit:
