Meet James (Cuba) Bartnik aka Jacob Birge.
Bartnik has long been heralded by the “fashion set” in Edinburgh as one to watch; I was introduced to this force of nature in 2013. Last year he appeared and won Project Runway; although coming across as arrogant yet sometimes pleasant his profile has blown up in Poland. He has shown that through real vision and focus with huge amounts of hard work what can be achieved.

In this Jacob Birge collection he champions the strong minded, liberated women of the future. Using the power of asymmetry in style, combined with the elegance and ferocity of the predatory animal prints juxtaposed with patent leathers.
Through the Jacob Birge Vision or ‘DNA’ dynamic statement looks are key to creating the full futuristic image. Metallic additives and geometric cuts transcend from the ready to wear pieces down to the footwear in black, grey and metallic red colour palette. The looks when combined with prints intensify the show stopping effect of the type of material. Innovative techniques such as strips and metal beads and woven applications show the unique nature of the design.
