When I used to think of fashion or at least clothing for cycling I immediately thought “MAMIL” – tight, unattractive, unappealing, garish and for sponsors logos. A couple of years ago I attended the Harris Tweed Ride, brilliant day out and a great excuse to dig out something fun to wear.
I was recently introduced to Edinburgh Cycle Chic – who knew! A blog with the byline:
“Because you don’t have to wear Lycra”
Not only are there Cycle Chic websites all over the UK, they’re all over the world and all thanks to one man’s obsession: Mikael Colville-Andersen, the founder of Copenhagen Cycle Chic which (2012) he turned into a book “Cycle Chic” available on Amazon.
Digging deeper I then stumbled across Georgia in Dublin – I love her Dublette expandable rain jacket, see below.
