You maybe know that I am the Creative Director for women’s wear label Spencer – our customers are of course Department Stores and Boutiques but our Spencer girl is typically mid 30’s. When you look at the image above is your first concern the model’s age? Should it be – will it make you look at it differently? This shot was taken for Modern Weekly China and Dasha (model) is wearing a Dolce & Gabbana Jacket. I have to admit and say that I was neither drawn in by her face, the jacket she’s wearing nor the fact she’s on a horse but those amazing legs. Because the image is faintly erotic I find myself recoiling awkwardly having discovered she is just 16!

For our models at Spencer you will never find me using someone that would not buy the product for themselves – if this was true of every Creative Director you would find the majority of models would be in use by Primark or TK Maxx and for Couture…?

So the dilema, who polices the poses of teens or will this question never be answered?
