No – me neither.

Stella McCartney knows how to throw a party! Stella hasn’t shown at #LFW for 16 years (always Paris) and now chosen to design outfits for Team GB for the Olympics it made sense to introduce her Fall 2012 Evening wear on her doorstep.

Thickly embossed cream invitations were sent out with novelty London bus keyring attached; held in a deconsecrated Mayfair church lit with Parisian-style globe lamps with Ronnie Scott’s orchestra playing jazz standards with waiters in traditional black linen aprons circulating with champagne… are you getting the picture?

This was a place setting mixer akin to a night at the Oscars – Stella’s models were dressed in her marble-printed silk evening wear were placed amongst the guests, so each table hosted one outfit from the new collection.

Attendees included Rihanna, Kate Moss, Twiggy, Bianca Jagger, Kanye West, Richard E Grant and many more. The night started with magicians, including a levitating Kate Moss… as this was going on the models around the room jumped on top of each table in the room with perfect choreography and gyrated in synchronised balletic moves to better show off the gowns (the waiters joined in too) – this is as much as I know because of course I wasn’t there.
