I can’t help myself – I’m back in the marketing mold again. I like to delight in marketing stories and campaigns that deliver or at least appeal or touch an emotional response. At some point in everyone’s life (I hope to think) we delight in an immense sense of euphoria at the thought of seeing someone again – as kids we called it a crush, as adults we share in the joy of a newly formed relationship often by announcing to the world – eventually by publishing an engagement or wedding in our local newspaper.
At least we used to – now of course people are updating their Facebook profile and their friends quietly say nothing or rejoice at their status change – it’s more open but a bit cold, not very romantic, at least I fail to see how sharing on Facebook or Twitter has a romantic edge – am I wrong?
Tiffany – God bless Tiffany, created a website called “What makes love true.com” it’s hardly a status update but has short stories of New York couples describing their moment. Would you call that a sponsored story… almost.
As an aside we (as in my family) have been shopping at Tiffany both in New York and Las Vegas and now can delight in the fact that my darling little girl (Talor is now 18) has a Tiffany key she was given as part of a necklace tattooed on the back of her neck… you can imagine I was delighted (can you sense the sarcasm!)
