As we head into the thick of Summer, contemplating our Autumn / Fall wardrobe choices I thought I’d share an insight into a growing underground trend of an “Arts and Crafts” theme and I don’t mean the type found on the Diesel Catwalk for S/S 2011. Or the ranges sourced by our friends over at Styloko in March this year:
But the very real growing number of home grown crafts – one such community has caught my eye, called “Knit It!” A community of people with a forum for knitters, crocheters and felters alike to show off their creations, whatever they may be, to ask for help with a pattern they are stuck on, to share great hints and tips. Although early days for them it is the brain child of an established crafty store called Baffie (Scottish colloquialism for Slippers).
