The statement written by Laura Christine, Chairwoman 2011 for the event goes: Last year ECFS 2010 raised an impressive £37,500 for three very worthwhile charities, contributing to the quarter of a million pounds raised by ECFS over the past ten years! This year’s committee are dedicated to continuing this success and upholding Edinburgh Charity Fashion Show’s reputation as Europe’s most successful student run fashion show.
All the efforts this year will be in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
As part of our support of this incredible charity, ECFS 2011 sponsored by Citylets is proud to be hosting the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer® (FTBC) UK music event, an exciting event coming to Scotland for the first time.
Now ten years since its conception, ECFS 2011 is breaking the mould of past years and creating a campaign showcasing both street style and high fashion alongside art, music and photography.
The campaign, appropriately named [D]EVOLUTION is about the rolling back of previous structures and evolving in the hands of the students. ECFS is involving a dedicated and talented committee from the University of Edinburgh and the Edinburgh College of Art alongside creative students working in all mediums.
