Because I am now bed bound for yet another day due to this interminable bloody flu, hacking cough thing my mind is not really on my work… I’m drawn to the parallels of the illnesses suffered by both Chuck Berry who collapsed onstage during his performance on Sat, Jan 1, 2011. He revived sufficiently to leave the venue in his limo, and not in an ambulance. Then Zsa Zsa Gabor who may lose half of her leg due to complications from a large blood clot. Gabor had the clot back in November 2010, but she delayed surgery. Now that the clot has spread, she may lose part of her leg… not what you want to hear but we wish them well. The alternative is coming up with images that will make the pain (sweats and shivers) dissipate just for a short while… I got as far as another image from Karl Lagerfeld’s Pirelli Calendar “The Greek Gods or Mythology”:
