Siobhan’s collection is stocked in Bergdorf Goodman, next to Prada, Gucci, Jimmy Choo… this is no run of the mill, twee attempt at Scottish fashion, this is the real thing.
Having shown at Paris Fashion Week and with a vision to go from international to global Siobhan Mackenzie has her vision clearly defined. There is purpose beyond profit and a real belief in building a successful community that supports the brand around the world, from right here in Scotland.
Once commuting from Inverness to Glasgow Mackenzie has now returned to the Black Isle full time, and is now on the hunt for a designer to lead her proposed Atelier back in Glasgow. Once identified and with matched values the team will be looking for fashion experience investment to develop the brand further.
Mackenzie is a multi Award-Winning Scottish fashion designer her highland heritage and Clan Mackenzie roots continue to inspire her collections and collaborations. Five days after graduating she launched the self-named label in 2014, aged just twenty-one. Her innovative design flair mixed with the “made in Scotland” brand ethos, reinvents the kilt, tailoring and knitwear into this contemporary label. The designer is passionate about supporting traditional craftsmanship whilst injecting modern design.
Sustainability has a large part to play within the brand’s ethos, promoting a slow fashion concept. Mackenzie grew up with her father working as an Environment Officer which has influenced her choices within the brand and it’s environmental foot-print.
Past brand collaborations have included Barbour, Caorunn Gin and more recently Team Scotland for The Commonwealth Games in 2018. This year Mackenzie has teamed up with Mairi Helena for her latest collection. A few shots from the collection are below, these will be available soon, to see this and more subscribe to Siobhan@SiobhanMackenzie.com.

Mairi Helena is a Scottish designer creating surface pattern prints, all her designs are created at her studio in Edinburgh. With a love of originality and colour, Mairi Helena has a true desire to surround herself with patterns, prints, photography and fashion.
The production and design process for Mackenzie’s existing women’s collection is slow and purposeful. The mens side of the business is entirely bespoke and in the short term there are no plans to alter that approach.
Mackenzie finished our conversation with an active – introduce me to your contacts in China, I need to be there, who do you know in Shenzhen? Erm, I know people that know people… dear reader, who do you know? Can you make an introduction to a well known retailer brand that is in the same league as Bergdorf’s in NYC? Drop her an email and help expand this collection to a global audience.
