ST Calendar

How is your calendar looking?
Do you need a creative prompt to help you write content?
A reminder to focus on the task at hand on Twitter?
Time assigned to source an image or create a supplier interview?

The bulk of the work at Social Tailor is creating Award winning content. We also manage calendars that deliver prompts to each member of your team and our team to deliver a task for marketing the business.

Those tasks are to provide:
1. Utility (White Paper / Useful tips / Good to know)
2. Entertainment (industry relevant: quotes / images / film)
3. Escapism (disruptive / against the grain / question authority and tradition)
4. Product / Service Promotion
5. Fun / humour

Each month or season there is a theme, typically geared towards product promotion, an impending conference or big event that drives increased sales.

Each member of the team is tasked with an activity that matches their knowledge and interests, which means:
1. The creation of content based on the current theme
2. Spend 30 minutes per prompt listening to Instagram / Twitter / FB / Snapchat and join in the conversation
3. Research content (on current theme)

In other words each member of the team (this is typically an individual that represents every working part of the company, from the executive suite to domestic services) receives an email or SMS (text) in some cases that says:

“Hi Kirsty, in 10 minutes you will search Twitter for up to 30 minutes for any conversation using the words #conference #eventmanagement #event in the Edinburgh area (EH1 – EH9). Theme = Recruitment / Entertainment.”

Kirsty knows that this is one of two tasks she has this week, that she has the job on Twitter of joining conversations particularly with “influencers” (read: people with good engagement and quantity of followers) that it’s about creating a backwards and forwards conversation as the brand, not about selling product – otherwise the email prompt would stipulate it. She has access to a media library (we tend to use dropbox) and a bank of images she can use to better emphasise her point (read: draw interest to her conversation).

Then it’s a case of the team at Social Tailor monitoring the interactions being delivered, mentoring the participants and producing an analysis (successes / failures) of their activity on a monthly basis.

For Social Tailor, this is the best way to work. How about you?
