CASE STUDY

With an understanding of the industry (employed by Burberry, Topshop, House of Fraser (Jenners) and others); studied fashion design both in Manchester and London and writing a fashion based blog from 2009 Colin Gilchrist identified an opportunity. From a community point of view there are Scottish Bloggers, there are Fashion Bloggers even communities of Scottish Beauty Bloggers… and so it was born – at least the Twitter feed was. Without an income stream to support it and being run for the love of it – which let’s face it that’s how bloggers usually start – little has changed. The Facebook home has multiple administrators and is looking for more.

The role that the Scottish Fashion Bloggers has found itself is the promotion of fashion bloggers both locally and around the world. Whilst also developing Twitter Lists of Scottish Fashion Designers and Scottish Fashion Bloggers. Which one are you? Would you like to be added to the list? (Twitter sits at 3,000, FB at 1,000 followers)
