In the last post I wrote about the Harvey Nichols campaign, the selfish nature of buying some landfill as gifts, having spent a small fortune on yourself. Quite the opposite here. I managed to find a new Scottish jewellery designer who embraces the craft by incorporating Harris Tweed.
Ruth was born and raised on the Isle Of Harris in the Outer Hebrides. Ruth has spent years collecting samples of both old and new cuts of Harris Tweed and incorporates it into her designs. Aside from using Harris Tweed, she also takes influence from the shapes, colours and textures of the landscapes of her home to create jewellery that is elegant and contemporary. Creating items that will have legacy not landfill!!
