Fabulous Mary Portas has got balls of steel – this Thursday marks the opening of: Mary.

Her one off, London store, simply called Mary, is a collaboration with House of Fraser and will be based on the first floor of the Oxford Street Store (and online at houseoffraser.com/maryportas).

She apparently has been working on the project for over a year – she knows how to put her reputation on the line!

The Telegraph have said that the idea itself is born out of frustration, and that Mary believes the high street has become a ghetto for the very young and impossibly skinny, she wants to redress the balance.

Mary’s Manifesto for her shopping experience:
“For the woman who is clever, smart, inspired and adventurous.” Her range of clothes and accessories are not for girls. They are for women. “This is not an age thing. It’s a grown-up thing!”

And for those of you that love and adore fashion are looking for work and live in London, Mary is hiring!  Her Retail and Brand Communications Agency “Yellow Door”are on a big recruitment drive – Mary Portas Jobs. Would you jump into bed with Mary?
