The Edinburgh College Fashion Show is almost upon us; this incredible charity event has raised almost £100,000 for a number of charities over the past couple of years – I was a guest of Poppyscotland last year, one of the ones who benefited from the event. The event itself is taking place on the 18th & 19th March at the Mansfield Traquair, a Gothic setting right in the centre of Edinburgh. Like all great events there is a build up with before parties, VIP nights and after show parties – to whet your appetite I enclose some pictures of one or two models taking part during the event.
The Creative Director ‘Fergus Crook’ has titled this years show “The Islands” – I guess we’ll find out why. In past years the show has been supported by pieces from collections such as Vivienne Westwood and Jean-Paul Gaultier, this year plans to be no less extravagant. There’s an open invitation to paying guests and their tables and of course – it’s black tie. When I find out more, I’ll spill the beans…
